Calderys participated in the 12th edition of IREFCON, recently held in New Delhi, India. The theme of the event was - Refractories solutions through user collaboration.
Mr. Hakimuddin Ali, Chairman, Imerys India and Chairman IRMA, inaugurated the event along with other invited dignitaries. In his keynote address, he shed some light on the strategic analysis of the Refractory Raw Materials in the Indian scenario. He also stressed upon the need for the development of indigenous sources of such raw materials.
The eminent speakers from various industries made presentations on various segments including steel, cement, aluminium and refractories. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ish Mohan Garg, Managing Director Calderys India, said, “Investment in technology and talent development for refractory industry is critical for planned growth in steel, cement, petrochemical and other key industries with an objective of development of the nation at large. Calderys is committed to bring the best of the refractory world to India."
Calderys presented itself as a thought leader in this event with technical papers on various subjects like, 'Easy to dry castable' and 'Two component plastic' by Dr. Saumen Sinha and 'Shotcreting - the T-20 of refractory industry' by Mr. Santosh Upadhyay. Calderys also showcased its technical expertise during IREFCON 2018 with Mr. Indranath Chakraborthy, heading IREFCON Technical Committee and chairing several technical sessions and workshops.
